Pastor John Day: 425-492-4177
Pastor John Day is a northwest native with a heart for Christ. He was raised in the small town of Stanwood, Washington, north of Seattle, and came to know Jesus as his Savior and Lord as a young child. He has a passion to proclaim the Word of God and to see lives transformed by the Holy Spirit. Pastor John holds a doctorate from Dallas Theological Seminary, and is the author of two books: Crying for Justice on the Psalms and Truth Standing on Its Head on the Sermon on the Mount. Among his many interests, he loves music, gardening, and games. He is blessed to be married to Ngozi, and together they are seeking to raise their blended family in the Lord.
About Longbranch Community Church
What We Believe
We are an inter-denominational community church which honors and celebrates diverse Christian faith traditions. We are called to worship, witness, affirm and live the teachings of Christ.
As such, we hold the following tenets to be central to our identity:
1. Jesus and the cross. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross for our sins and was raised from the dead.
2. Faith. We believe that personal faith in Jesus is required for entrance into heaven.
3. The Scriptures. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, our authority for faith and conduct.
4. The Trinity. We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
All other matters of Christian conviction, whether significant or incidental, are kept secondary, and are not an issue of fellowship or membership here.
